NVIDIA introduced Tegra 3 platform

Today NVIDIA officially introduced its new system-on-chip platform. NVIDIA Tegra 3 features four 1.3GHz cores and one additional 500MHz core used for not resource-intensive tasks. Moreover to optimize power consumption the system can switch of one, two or three main CPU cores if they are not needed. New generation Tegra platform has 12 GeForce graphic cores and is three times faster than Tegra 2. It also supports such effects as dynamic light, shadows, Motion Blur and etc. The first device based on Tegra 3 platform is ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet that has been just announced to become available next month.
